Nowadays, airports are full of places to charge and power your technology?but that doesn't mean one of those outlets will be available to you when you arrive. Redditor jaspersurger came up with a simple solution: bring your own power strip.
Everybody who needs to keep a steady stream of power to their gadgets understands worries a little about finding an available outlet near their gate, so if you find all the outlets used up and ask to share via your power strip you're likely to get a yes. On top of that, your power strip just multiplied the number of outlets available so you can pay it forward and let others charge as well.
The only real concern is overloading the circuit, but that's unlikely with a couple of laptops and a smartphone or two. Possibly more important is finding a power strip that fits nicely in your travel bag. We've always liked the Belkin Mini Surge Protector that provides three outlets and two USB ports, but plenty of other options exist as well.
