member to join our dynamic Business Studies Department at the Assistant Professor rank.
The Business Studies Department is seeking a candidate whose teaching responsibilities will include teaching a variety of business courses required for the Associate's Degree in Business, including but not limited to, accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing. The new faculty member would also be expected to provide scholarship and service to the Department and College.
Qualifications: A doctoral degree in a related business field is preferred; other degrees related to business considered. Excellent communication, organizational, and management skills are critical as is an ability to work as part of a team. A working understanding of the nature of specific learning disabilities in a classroom setting is important, and teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable. Evidence of scholarship in the field, is expected. Familiarity with principles of universal design for instruction and learning, and experience in grant proposal development are desirable. The start date is Fall, 2013.
