CANNES, France (AP) ? Recent Oscar rivals Steven Spielberg and Ang Lee are together again at the Cannes Film Festival.
The two are serving as jurors at the French Riviera festival. In February, they were the two favorites for best director at the Academy Awards. In an upset, Lee won for his 3-D shipwreck saga "Life of Pi" over Spielberg for the Civil War epic "Lincoln."
But in Cannes, Spielberg is Lee's boss. He's president of the nine-person jury that Lee is also sitting on. Along with fellow jurors Nicole Kidman and Christoph Waltz, they'll choose the winner of the Palme d'Or ? arguably the only other award in movies on par with an Oscar.
In a press conference Wednesday, Lee said the two are friends and called Spielberg "my hero."
